Comments: Game Shopping

Susan
Hi, how does GreatHalls give credit? i have purchase more than a couple of $$ there and they never asked for my name or anything like that in order to keep track of my purchases. I was just curious about their system.
I do not plan to go there anymore, since a couple of weeks ago i encountered a very rude sales clerk.

Taking my business elsewhere

Hi Teri,

I'm surprised you were treated rudely. They've always been very helpful and polite to me. Then again, since I don't go there very often, I may not have met all of their staff.

I'm not sure what they call it, but they'll put your name and number on an index card. When you make a purchase, tell them you have a card and they'll pull it from the file and record your purchase. After ten, they'll average them and record the credit which you can use on a future visit.

Thanks Susan!!
Well, maybe they are not running that type of deal anymore. Everytime i purchased a game, they just wrote the name of the game on a notepad, i thought that would be for inventory purposes only.

I am upset about what happened to my husband over there, he was looking at a game piece for Tannhauser and the sales guy just took it off his hands and put it up, we were so surprise we did not react. He did not even say a word about it. My husband felt very insulted about the situation and like i mentioned before we have been buying $$$ there since we became board game addicts

I will miss that place since that is where we started to go to learn games on friday nites.
