Thanks for the plug! This set of games is looking to be really good; it also includes games from Andy Looney and Joseph Kisenwether (the winner of the Second Ice Game Design Competition). Just curious, where did you read about the competition? Are you on the Icehouse mailing list, or did it get posted somewhere else?
Posted by Doug Orleans at January 29, 2005 10:16 PMHi Doug,
I'm on the Icehouse mailing list. I haven't seen it posted anywhere else, yet.
The games do look pretty good. I'm looking forward to trying them, including yours. I would love to find a better use for our Aquarius deck!
Posted by Susan at January 29, 2005 10:35 PMThanks for the comments, Susan. I really like the Icehouse games, they are intriguing in ways different from most of the German-style games I play more often.
That said, I think my game still needs work, and I submitted it mostly for playtesting feedback. I have suspicions that it will tend to end in ties more often than not, and that bothers me a bit, but I didn't have many ties while playtesting it, for whatever reason.
Thanks again, I always enjoy reading your site.
Dave
